Injured Giants Fan Bryan Stow Now Able To Write His Name
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Bryan Stow was able to write his name for the first time since the attack outside Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles that left him in a medically induced coma, according to Stow's family.
The family writes that a picture on its website of Stow's handwriting "speaks volumes" about the 42-year-old paramedic's recovery.
Stow was moved to a rehabilitation facility in October after eventually regaining consciousness during treatment at San Francisco General Hospital. He still cannot walk, but relatives said his memory has been improving and his personality is re-emerging.
Two men from San Bernadino County, Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez, have pleaded not guilty to charges of mayhem, assault and battery in connection with the March 31 attack where Stow sustained his injuries.
Police said Stow was punched in the head, kicked and slammed to the ground after the game on opening day.
Former Giants slugger Barry Bonds has recorded an online video urging people to donate to a fund for Stow's family.
