Car Crash Takes Down Power Lines, Closes I-505 Near Vacaville
VACAVILLE (CBS SF) - A collision took down power lines across Interstate Highway 505 and forced the closure of the roadway on the edge of Vacaville Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 5:15 p.m. on the freeway near the junction with Midway Road, the CHP said.
Power lines were strewn across the road and several small fires were started. The fires were quickly extinguished but the road is shut down while repairs are made to the power lines.
