Hugh Jackman Receives Special Tony Award
NEW YORK (CBS News) -- Hugh Jackman was given with a special Tony Award on Sunday by a special presenter - his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Jackman, who was being honored for his contributions to the Broadway community, was surprised to see his wife presenting him with the award, because she had told him she was going to the bathroom.
"She's never kept a secret her entire life," Jackman said, adding that his wife had told him, "I'm just off to the loo."
"I know how much you hate public speaking. This is probably the greatest thing you've ever done for me," he told Furness on stage. "Really, it means the world to me."
Jackman is no stranger to Broadway, or the Tonys stage. He won a Tony in 2004 for his leading role in "The Boy from Oz," and is a three-time host of the Tony Awards ceremony.
