Hiring Bump At Vallejo's Six Flags
VALLEJO (KCBS) – Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo is expected to hire more people this year than last. Hundreds are expected to find work at an upcoming job fair.
Nancy Chan of Six Flags said that park officials have been on a hiring frenzy already, and even more young people are expected to be hired at a job fair that will be held this Saturday in Fairfield.
KCBS' Dave Padilla Reports:
"We have about 500 that we're hiring just at the job fair, but we hire about 1,400 for the entire season," said Chan.
She said that the new season begins in March 17, and it doesn't end until next year.
"We're actually not going to be closed until the beginning of January of 2013, so it's a pretty long year," said Chan.
Chan said that applicants are advised to apply online at sixflagsjobs.com so they can be interviewed at the job fair. Once at the event she recommends that they come dressed to impress.
