Healthy Sea Lions Released Back Into The Pacific
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – Three California sea lions were released back into the wild Tuesday after being nursed back to health by the Marine Mammal Center. The trio was released amid a cheering crowd Tuesday morning at Rodeo Beach in Sausalito.
KCBS' Bob Melrose Reports:
They had been brought to the center in October from Morro Bay, all of the animals suffering from bacterial infections. As soon as they hit the water Tuesday morning, they took off, swimming away.
The Marine Mammal Center has sent 500 animals back to the ocean this year.
