HealthWatch: Liquid Eye Lift Offers Alternative To Surgery
SAN FRANCICO (CBS 5) - If people keep thing you're tired when you aren't, chances are your droopy, puffy eyelids could use a little lift. In the past that change meant going under the knife, but now there is a non-surgical alternative known as a liquid eyelift.
The liquid lift is a series of injectable fillers to help lift up what's fallen down and fill out the areas around the eye that hollow with age.
Plastic surgeons told CBS 5 that the procedure is becoming more and more popular.
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, said the procedure gives the patient a refreshed look that, though temporary, is dramatic.
"Many patients say they look six, seven, ten years younger," said Moelleken.
The average cost of a liquid eye lift is $1,200 to $1,400, and it needs to be done every six months. The cost of a surgical eye lift can cost between $3,000 and $8,000.
