Hayward Home Sustains Major Fire Damages
Authorities are investigating a two-alarm fire that caused major damage to a home in Hayward Wednesday morning. The fire was located on Jacobs Place near Bayview Avenue, which is east of Center Street and south of Grove Way. It was called in at around 6:15 a.m.
After five people in the home raced outside an electrical wire fell on the lawn in front of the 1,500 square foot structure. None of them were injured.
Firefighters rescued a small dog from the burning home.
The fire was put out by 7 a.m.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
