Hayward police search for 2 men who reportedly fled from crash that killed man
Police in Hayward are searching for two men believed to have taken off from a crash that left a 41-year-old man dead early Sunday morning.
The single-vehicle crash happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Gresel Street.
Officers said a vehicle struck the curb of Mission Boulevard and rolled onto its side.
One of the passengers, a 41-year-old Hayward man, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, police said. The victim's identification has not been released.
Witnesses reported seeing two men flee from the scene, police said.
Drugs and alcohol have not been ruled out in the crash.
