Hawkman Cast In Upcoming DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Series

(KBCW) - DC and The CW have announced on Monday that they have cast actor Falk Hentschel in the roll of Carter Hall, better known as "Hawkman" in the upcoming series DC's Legends of Tomorrow. As with many new characters, Hawkman will be introduced on Arrow and The Flash before appearing on the spin-off series.

Hentschel is not new to the on-screen comic world. He appeared on Marvel's Agents of S.HI.E.L.D. and also has been seen in Knight and Day, White House Down and Transcendence. Hentschel first started on television's Arrested Development and has also appeared on CSI, NCIS: Los Angeles and Revenge.

As Hawkman, Hentschel joins actress Ciara Renée who plays Carter Hall's soulmate Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl. Like Saunders, Hall can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into Hawkman, the winged warrior.

Along with Ciara Renée and Falk Hentschel, they are joined by Victor Garber (Alias, The Flash), Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns), Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), Caity Lotz (Arrow), and Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow). With Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break).

DC's Legends of Tomorrow premieres on KBCW 44 Cable 12 in January 2016.
