Gunman Sought After Bouncer Fatally Shot At Sunnyvale Club
SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) -- A nightclub in Sunnyvale was back in business Monday morning after police reported that a bouncer at the club was shot and killed there early Sunday morning.
"We're open," said a woman who answered the phone at The Peacock Lounge at 102 E. Fremont Ave. in Sunnyvale. "We're asking people to kind of give us time."
Officers from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to an emergency call about a shooting at the club at 1:05 a.m. Sunday.
They arrived to find that the bouncer had been shot, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were then notified by staff at a local hospital that a possible second victim had turned up there.
There are no suspects in the case, police Capt. Dave Pitts said Monday morning.
"We're still trying to piece together what occurred and who the players are," Pitts said.
