Gunman Opens Fire on SJ Freeway

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) _ Authorities are looking for a gunman who shot at another vehicle traveling on northbound Interstate 680 in San Jose Saturday night.

The California Highway Patrol said the shooting occurred around 8:55 p.m. just south of McKee Road when the driver of a white Chevy Trailblazer shot at a silver Dodge Durango.

Four shots hit the SUV and officers said a passenger riding in the back seat was hit once in the back.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a black goatee and mustache and the CHP said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the shooting.

The male victim was transported to Regional Medical Center for treatment of his wound. His condition is not known at this time.
