Gunman On The Loose After Shooting At San Rafael Transit Center
SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) - A man was shot on a platform at the San Rafael Transit Center Friday afternoon and police have issued an all points bulletin for a gold sedan in connection with the crime, a San Rafael police spokeswoman said.
The 22-year-old victim was on Platform D around 1 p.m. when a man pulled up on Tamalpais Drive, got out of the gold sedan and shot at him, police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said.
The victim ran but collapsed on Platform B and was taken to Marin General Hospital, Rohrbacher said. She did not know the extent of the victim's injuries.
KCBS' Margie Shafer Reports:
The shooter then got back into the sedan and drove to Second Street, then south onto U.S. Highway 101, according to Rohrbacher.
Police issued an all-points bulletin regarding the sedan and blocked roads in the area but the vehicle had not been located as of Friday afternoon, Rohrbacher said.
The armed shooter is between 6 feet 2 inches and 6 feet 4 inches tall and was wearing dark clothing, Rohrbacher said.
