Group Of Women Arrested After Smash-And-Grab Of SF Ferrari Store
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) - A group of at least five young women rushed into a Ferrari store in San Francisco's Union Square Wednesday afternoon and carried out a smash-and-grab theft.
The takeover took place shortly before 2 p.m. at the Corner of Market and Stockton Streets, where the group of women made off with about $5,000 in or apparel and other items branded with the Ferrari logo.
The girls managed to get about a block from the store to the Powell Street cable car turnaround. That's where police were able to arrest them and, with the help of store employees, make positive identifications.
Police said they don't know if this was an isolated incident or linked to other crimes.
