Google Launches New Election-Only Search Site
SAN JOSE (KCBS) – Just in time for the Iowa caucuses, Google is launching a new website that focuses entirely on the U.S. elections. Google.com/elections is designed to be a hub for all things political during the election season.
Visitors can search for specific candidates or issues, and find news articles and videos on each candidate.
"It's a pretty nice one-stop-shop to find just about everything you need to follow what's happening in the election," said Nicco Mele, a lecturer on press, politics and public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Mele said that for him, the most interesting part was the election trends button, which shows how candidates are being Googled.
"When someone searches for a candidate's name, or a candidate's name with an issue, they are clearly showing some interest in a candidate," said Mele.
On the official company blog, Google said that there is no question that the internet is set to deliver more political information, opinions and news than any other medium this year.
