SAN MATEO COUNTY (CBS 5) -- It was a Peninsula attraction that used to draw thousands every year. Loralee Underhill asked this Good Question: What happened to Lombardi Springs on Highway 92?
ANSWER: Caltrans diverted the spring to complete a widening project on Highway 92. The pipe was sealed off in 1997 and never reopened because of traffic concerns and the water also tested positive for E coli bacteria.
