Good Question: How Will Golden Gate Bridge All-Electronic Tolls Work?
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) – Starting in November 2012, paying a toll taker on the Golden Gate Bridge will be a thing of the past. In this Good Question: How will all-electronic tolls work on the Golden Gate Bridge?
ANSWER: According to Golden Gate Bridge spokeswoman Mary Currie, tourists will be able to pay tolls up front when they rent their cars. Motorists with out-of-state plates or who don't have FasTrak can pay at a kiosk, online or over the phone. Those that cheat will be forced to pay when they re-register their cars with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
