Gonzalez Strikes Out 5 In 3 Innings, A's Win
PHOENIX, Ariz. (CBS / AP) ― Gio Gonzalez struck out five in three hitless innings and the Oakland Athletics beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 Sunday in a split-squad game for both teams.
Gonzalez started and walked two. Tyson Ross followed with three scoreless innings, working around four hits and striking out four.
Coco Crisp tripled and singled for the A's.
Brewers starter Chris Narveson tossed two shutout innings.
