Girlfriend Of Suspect In Bryan Stow Beating Arrested In Vegas
LAS VEGAS (CBS) — A Las Vegas woman who police said may have been the getaway driver for the suspects in an assault on a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodger Stadium was arrested on Thursday.
Denise Piccione, 26, was arrested on drug, weapons and prostitution charges nearly two months after her boyfriend Giovanni Ramirez, 31, was arrested as a suspect in the beating of Bryan Stow on baseball's opening day.
Los Angeles Police Department detectives were headed for Vegas to interview Piccione, but it was not immediately clear whether she was considered a suspect or an alibi witness.
Piccione was being held in Nevada's Clark County jail on $21,000 bail on Thursday after appearing in court the prior day. She did not enter a plea in the case and her attorney wasn't immediately available for comment.
LAPD Chief Charlie Beck recently told reporters that police were still looking for a second attacker and a woman who drove them away from the stadium parking lot.
"There are at least two outstanding suspects that we are actively searching for," Beck said at the time.
Ramirez remained jailed Thursday for parole violations but had not been officially charged in connection with the assault.
Stow continues to be cared for at San Francisco General Hospital.
