Gilroy Bank Robbery Cash Found On Morgan Hill VTA Bus
GILROY (BCN) - Gilroy police responded to reports of a bank robbery Monday morning, police officials said.
A man entered a Bank of America at 7825 Monterey St. and gave the teller a note demanding money, police said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the scene.
Police responded at around 11 a.m. and a short time later a portion of the money was found on a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority bus in Morgan Hill, police said.
The suspect was described as an Asian man, between 30 and 40 years old, about 180 pounds, clean shaven, and between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black and gray jacket, blue jeans, and a tan baseball hat with a logo on the front.
