Giants Score 4 Runs In 1st, Defeat Padres
PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- Emmanuel Burriss drove in two runs in the first inning with a double, and Travis Ishikawa and Brandon Belt each added run-scoring singles to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 6-4 win over the San Diego Padres on Friday night.
Padres right-hander Mat Latos struggled in the first for the third time this spring, allowing four runs.
San Diego reliever Samuel Deduno later gave up a two-run homer to Mike Fontenot in the fifth inning.
Tim Lincecum allowed three runs—one earned—in four innings of work for the Giants, who made three errors behind their ace. The lone earned run off Lincecum was a third-inning solo homer by Orlando Hudson.
Lincecum threw 62 pitches in his fourth outing of the spring.
