Giants And Rangers Prove Long Shots Can Win Too
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Most experts were not expecting the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers to represent their respective leagues in the World Series, Las Vegas bookmakers said.
Both teams entered the year as 30-1 favorites to win the World Series. But now the teams have reached the pinnacle.
Chad Millman, Senior Deputy Editor at ESPN the Magazine and author of "The Odds: One Season, Three Gamblers and the Death of Their Las Vegas," said baseball is one of the least bet on sports.

Millman added that oddsmakers and Las Vegas "wiseguys" view the Texas Rangers as the favorite to take home their first World Series title.
