George Lucas & Mellody Hobson Tie The Knot
NICASIO (CBS SF) - Wedding bells rang on Saturday as Bay Area filmmaker, George Lucas marries his longtime girlfriend and financial correspondent Mellody Hobson. The wedding took place at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, a representative from Lucasfilm Ltd. confirmed to CBSNews.com.
Lucas & Hobson has dated since 2006 and announced their engagement in January. Lucas is 69 and Hobson is 44.
Celebrity friends took to Twitter to congratulate the couple including fellow filmmaker, Ron Howard and "Star Wars" star, Samuel L. Jackson:
This is Lucas' second time down the aisle. He was married to film editor Marcia Lou Griffin in 1969 and divorced in 1983. Lucas has three children: Amanda, Katie and Jett. This is Hobson's first marriage. News of their engagement surfaced in January.
