Game 3 Loss To Sharks Takes Physical Toll On Canucks
SAN JOSE (CBS SF/AP) -- The Vancouver Canucks might have lost more than Game 3 of the Western Conference finals.
They might be without two key defensemen for Game 4 on Sunday after Christian Ehrhoff and Aaron Rome sat out practice Saturday because of injuries. The Canucks lead the series 2-1 over San Jose despite losing 4-3 in Game 3 on Friday night.
Ehrhoff and Rome both were hurt on hits by San Jose's fourth-line winger Jamie McGinn. McGinn was given a major boarding penalty and game misconduct for his third-period hit on Rome but didn't receive any additional discipline from the NHL on Saturday.
Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault wouldn't say if either Ehrhoff and Rome would play Sunday but didn't sound optimistic.
