Fugitive Fatally Shot By Antioch Police Identified
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- The Contra Costa County coroner's office on Tuesday identified a fugitive who was fatally shot by Antioch police on Monday night as 33-year-old Joshua Petersen.
Officers responded to a report of a fugitive in the area of Lemontree Court who they said was wanted on two arrest warrants.
They confronted Petersen in a carport at 2409 Lemontree Court at about 5:50 p.m. Monday, police said.
Multiple officers fired their weapons at the Antioch resident after realizing he was armed with a handgun, police said. Petersen was pronounced dead at the home.
No officers were injured.
