Officers responded to a report of a fugitive in the area of Lemontree Court who they said was wanted on two arrest warrants.

They confronted Petersen in a carport at 2409 Lemontree Court at about 5:50 p.m. Monday, police said.

Multiple officers fired their weapons at the Antioch resident after realizing he was armed with a handgun, police said. Petersen was pronounced dead at the home.

No officers were injured.
