Fugitive Alleged White Supremacist Gang Member Arrested In Windsor
WINDSOR (CBS SF) -- Windsor police and Sonoma County sheriff's deputies Monday morning arrested an alleged member of a white supremacist gang who is wanted by Houston police, a sheriff's sergeant said.
Paul Rasco, 45, was arrested in the Hampton Inn in Windsor around 9:45 a.m., Sgt. Cecile Focha.
Rasco, one of the Houston Police Department's 10 most wanted fugitives, is wanted for failure to appear on an assault charge, according to the Houston Police Department's website.
Windsor police received a tip that Rasco was in the hotel on South Brooks Road. Eleven detectives from the Windsor Police Department and Sonoma County Sheriff's Office set up a perimeter and made sure the rooms on each side of Rasco's room were unoccupied, Focha said.
A phone call was made to Rasco's room and he was arrested without incident when he stepped outside. Rasco was booked into Sonoma County Jail under two felony warrants and will be extradited to Texas, according to Focha.
Another person associated with Rasco was detained, but details about that person are not yet available, Focha said.
