'Fruitvale Station' Unveils First Trailer
(CBS NEWS) - "Fruitvale Station," which won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival (when it was titled "Fruitvale"), has debuted its first trailer.
The film is based on the true story of Oscar Grant (played by Michael B. Jordan, of "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights" fame), a 22-year-old San Francisco Bay Area man who was fatally shot by a police officer in the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2009.
"Fruitvale Station," the directorial debut from Ryan Coogler, is set for a July 12 release and is already being looked at as an awards season contender.
