From Heroes To Hunks; WonderCon Returns To The Bay Area
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – This weekend marks WonderCon's 25th Anniversary at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. For many geeks, nerds, gamers, fanboys (or fangirls) no matter what the label, if you love comic books & science fiction, WonderCon is your 'nirvana'. Aside from WonderCon's much bigger sister event, 'Comic Con' in San Diego, where else could you find rare collector items, hard to find memorabilia and everything that is science fiction?

Each and every year, WonderCon features the best artists, writers and producers of comic books and graphic novels, but they also bring in the best of television and big-screen cinema. This year is no exception.

Rainn Wilson of 'The Office' discusses his new super-hero comedy 'Super' about a short order cook who takes the law into his own hands.
Henry Cavill (the new Superman) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen of the 'Twilight' series) will be on a panel with some of their fellow cast members discussing their stylish and spectacular 3-D, Greek epic, 'Immortals'. An epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny.
On the television end, Elizabeth Mitchell ("Erica Evans") from ABC's 'V' will discuss the epic events of the season finale and tease what is yet to come in the epic battle for survival between the Visitors and the human race.
A 'fan' favorite, star of Fox's 'Human Target' Mark Valley and some of the cast & crew will recap a hugely dramatic second season and deliver a special WonderCon video presentation. Based upon DC Comics characters, Human Target is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Television.
Plus, Christian Slater (Broken Arrow), Bret Harrison (Reaper, V), Odette Yustman (Transformers) & Alphonso McAuley (Glory Road) will all be in attendance, joined by executive producers Adam Goldberg and Doug Robinson. They will all share a sneak peak of their new series, 'Breaking In', "an offbeat half-hour workplace comedy about a high-tech security firm that takes extreme -- and often questionable -- measures to sell their protection services."
Perhaps the biggest draw this year is the release of DC Entertainment featured live action film adaptation of 'Green Lantern' starring Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively. The actors were in attendance on Friday, April 1st. 'Green Lantern' is set to release June 17th.
