Fremont Man Facing Murder Charge In Football Star's Death
FREMONT (BCN) - An 18-year-old man is facing a murder charge in the fatal stabbing of a Newark high school football player during a weekend party.
Abraham Hade was arraigned on the charge and gang and weapon enhancements on Tuesday.
The victim, 18-year-old Osana Futi, was found stabbed on Saturday night after police responded to reports of gunshots and a loud party in Fremont. He was pronounced dead hours later at the hospital.
Three male juveniles have also been arrested on suspicion of being accessories to the crime.
Futi was a star running back and linebacker for Newark Memorial High School. He was getting ready to graduate
