Freeze Warning Issued For Bay Area
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A freeze warning was in effect for many portions of the Bay Area Friday morning as cold weather dips below 32 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
North Bay interior valleys and mountains along with valleys in the East Bay and Santa Clara Valley area including San Jose-Southern Salinas, Northern Salinas and Carmel valleys were advised of freezing temperatures through 9 a.m. Friday morning, according to weather officials.
Temperatures were expected to be in the 20s with isolated spots dipping into the teens, weather officials said.
Officials warn the sub-freezing temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation and crops.
