Free Agent WR Torrey Smith, 49ers Reportedly Agree On 5-Year, $40 Million Deal
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- Former Baltimore Raven Torrey Smith and the San Francisco 49ers have reportedly agreed to a deal that will fill in the void to be left by the expected departure of free agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
Tuesday, Smith tweeted a shout-out to the Bay Area, apparently heralding his deal with the 49ers.
ESPN reported Smith's deal with San Francisco is worth $40 million over five years, including $22 million guaranteed.
The 26-year-old Smith will be reunited with his former Ravens teammate Anquan Boldin who came to the 49ers shortly after Baltimore defeated the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
Smith is the Ravens career leader in yards per catch with a 16.9 average. He ranks second in team history with 30 touchdown catches.
