Former 49ers, Raiders Player Sentenced For Assaulting His Ex-Boyfriend
REDWOOD CITY (KCBS) - Kwame Harris, a former offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders, was sentenced Friday to five days in jail and three years probation for assaulting his ex-boyfriend.
Harris was convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence, battery and assault charges over a fight with his ex-boyfriend, Dimitri Geier, at a Chinese restaurant in Menlo Park.

The jury acquitted Harris of felony charges in the case. His attorney, Alin Cintean, said Harris would appeal the sentence.
"He was improperly convicted of the misdemeanors. They were separate acts. They were passed the statute of limitations," Cintean said.
"The judge should have dismissed the misdemeanor convictions as well."
Deputy District Attorney Brian Donnellan was satisfied with the sentence, which he said is consistent with the standard terms for misdemeanor convictions.
The judge gave Harris the option of serving the jail term through a sheriff's department work furlough program.
