SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A three-alarm fire burned one home and damaged two adjacent structures Thursday morning in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood.

The fire at 241 Mississippi Street was first reported around 6:40 a.m., and came under control around 10:40 a.m.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, officials said.

Neighbors told CBS that both the building's owner and tenants were away for the holidays.

Two adjacent structures were damaged, one seriously, but all residents were able to escape without injury.

Firefighters were able to save several house pets but at least 2 pet cats died in the blaze, KCBS has learned.

The off-ramp on southbound Interstate 280 at Mariposa was closed for more than an hour.
