Fire Contained At Richmond Pallet Yard
RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- A fire at a pallet yard the size of half a football field was contained in Richmond Monday, according to fire officials.
The Contra Costa Fire Protection District said the two-alarm fire burned through large stacks of pallets near a Richmond warehouse complex located at 2258 Central St.
The initial response was at 10:10 a.m., said CCFPD Assistant Chief Chris Bachman.
The two-alarm fire was quickly contained and by about 11:15 a.m. crews were mopping up lingering hotspots.
No injuries or damage to buildings was reported, Bachman said.
