Final In Series Of Storms Set To Hit On Holiday Getaway Friday

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A final storm system for this week will bring more rain to our area Thursday night through Friday. Rainfall amounts should be quite a bit less than previous storms, but will still add to our wet December totals.

The wettest parts of the Bay Area will see about two-thirds of an inch of rain by Friday evening. Dryer locations will be about half of that. As with the previous storms, the rain will begin in the North Bay and spread south. Rainfall should cover the whole region by midday Friday. Here's a look at the projected rain totals:

As of Thursday morning, no watches or warnings are in effect as a result of the new rain, however, the wet roads could add to headaches for people heading out of town for Christmas week. You can check the latest traffic here.

Mostly dry weather is expected for the weekend into the first half of next week, with potentially wet weather possible around Christmas.
