FBI Asks To Talk To SF City Leaders In Yee Corruption Investigation
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) -- The FBI wants San Francisco city leaders to talk with the agency as part of an ongoing investigation targeting political corruption and an alleged organized crime syndicate in Chinatown.
A legislative aide to the president of the Board of Supervisors confirmed the agency contacted Supervisor David Chiu's office last week.
Aide Judson True says the FBI also asked 10 other supervisors to set up voluntary, informal meetings with the agency.

State Sen. Leland Yee and 19 others were arrested on March 26 during coordinated raids throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The San Francisco Democrat, who served on the board of supervisors in the late 1990s, is accused of trading political influence for cash and helping broker an arms deal.
FBI spokesman Peter Lee confirmed Monday the agency will be holding multiple interviews at City Hall.
