Fatal crash involving motorcycle on Highway 880 in San Jose blocks traffic
At least one was killed in a crash early Monday morning on northbound Interstate Highway 880 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said that around 4:40 a.m., patrol officers learned that a vehicle crashed into a center divider on I-880's northbound lanes near The Alameda, and overturned.
Moments later, a motorcycle crashed into the overturned vehicle. Due to the impact, the motorcyclist flew and landed in a bush in the area.
Around 5:45 a.m., the CHP confirmed that at least one was dead.
Northbound lanes of I-880 in the area were blocked by the crash.
