Highway 680 In Pleasanton Reopens After Fatal Pedestrian Crash
PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- The far left-hand lane of southbound interstate Highway 680 near Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton was reopened after a fatal crash involving a pedestrian prompted the California Highway to completely shut down the roadway.
Around 3:30 a.m., a pedestrian was killed in a collision with a car on southbound Highway 680 near Stoneridge Drive, according to the CHP.
A short time later, the CHP shut down all lanes of traffic on southbound Highway 680 from the interstate Highway 580 connector to the Stoneridge Drive exit.

Motorists heading toward the scene of the collision were diverted from southbound Highway 680 to westbound Highway 580, then southbound on Foothill Road and back to Stoneridge Drive, according to the CHP.
As of 6:20 a.m., personnel from the Alameda County coroner's bureau were at the scene of the crash, according to the CHP.
