'Fantasy Slut League' Exposed At Piedmont High School
PIEDMONT (CBS 5) - East Bay parents have been notified by school officials that a number of athletes at Piedmont High School have created a "fantasy slut league" to score and compare their sexual exploits.
In a Friday letter to parents, Principal Rich Kitchens said administrators found out about the sex league after a Date Rape Prevention assembly.
"Female students (unbeknownst to most of them) are drafted as part of the league…Male students earn points for documented engagement in sexual activities," said Kitchens.
He said the league's apparently been around five to six years as a bonding activity for some varsity sports athletes.
The principal said administrators investigated, but did not identify any participants of the Fantasy Slut League by name, so no individuals will be disciplined.
He said some students expressed concern that any penalty could affect their college applications.
The principal said the school will have an assembly to talk about why the fantasy league is wrong, followed up with structured discussions in class. Sports teams are expected to have talks about integrity and sportsmanship.
"It's pretty disgusting," said Piedmont High graduate Julian Ring. "I'm not proud for that to be part of my old high school."
Piedmont Schools Superintendent Constance Hubbard said in an email Sunday that "This is a matter of school and family working together to support our teens to make good choices and to treat each other with respect and dignity."
