San Jose Family Looks To Raise Money For Teen's Funeral
SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- The burial service for a 16-year-old San Jose homicide victim was supposed to occur on Wednesday but his family has had to cancel the funeral because they don't have enough money to pay for it.
16-year-old Manuel Urzua was killed in a gang shooting on June 19, while walking down the street in broad daylight. He was found beaten and shot in the head on the 1600 block of Virginia Avenue and died at the hospital the following day.

Margaret Petros with Mothers Against Murder, a non-profit dedicated to helping families of murder victims, said the family if $5,000 short for the burial.
"In this case, the family is extremely poor and they could not come up with the $10,000," Petros said.
San Jose Police Department spokesman Albert Morales said leads have been pretty much exhausted in the case, the city's 25th homicide of the year.
"Right now, they're kind of at a standstill. They really don't have much more information to provide than what we've already provided," Morales said. "They are asking for the public's help. If anyone does have information regarding the homicide, call the homicide unit or if they want to remain anonymous, they can call (408) 947-7867."
The burial has been rescheduled for Friday, if the family can come up with the necessary money.
