Fairfield Man Accused Of Holding Wife At Gunpoint
FAIRFIELD (BCN) -- Fairfield police have arrested a man accused of holding his wife at gunpoint in their Broadway Street apartment Wednesday morning, a police spokesman said.
Dahryl Lamont Reynolds, 40, walked out of the Royal Palm Apartments at 1001 Broadway Street about 40 minutes after police arrived, Officer Cleo Mayoral said.
Reynold's wife had sent one of her relative's text messages saying she was being held at gunpoint, and the relative called police around 9 a.m., Mayoral said.
The dispute between Reynolds and his wife started Tuesday night and continued for several hours Wednesday morning when the woman tried to leave the apartment, Mayoral said. Reynolds forced her at gunpoint to remain inside, according to Mayoral.
Reynolds allegedly threatened to kill his wife and his family, Mayoral said.
Police found a .40-caliber Glock handgun, marijuana and methamphetamine inside the apartment after Reynolds was arrested, Mayoral said.
Reynolds is a convicted felon and was known to Fairfield police, Mayoral said.
He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana for sale and false imprisonment, and was booked into Solano County Jail, Mayoral said.
