Ex-Stanford Star Moore Is Nevada's New RB Coach

RENO, Nev. (CBS / AP) ― Former NFL running back and Stanford star Casey Moore is being promoted to running back coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Moore was Nevada's quality control coach last year, assisting coach Chris Ault with the quarterbacks on the 13-1 team that finished ranked No. 11. He replaces Jim Mastro, who has taken a similar job at UCLA.

Moore started all four seasons at Stanford before he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2003. He also played for Arizona during his three seasons in the NFL.

Before coming to Nevada last year, he spent two years as an assistant at Stanford under coach Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is now coach of the San Francisco 49ers. They picked Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the second round of last month's draft.
