Ex-Raider Cable Becomes Seahawks' Offensive Line Coach
SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) -- Jeremy Bates was fired this week as the Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator, ending a rocky 1-year return to the NFL for Bates during which the Seahawks finished the regular season ranked 28th in the league.
Later, the team announced it had hired former Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable as assistant head coach and offensive line coach and Todd Wash as its defensive line coach.
Cable was let go by the Raiders at the end of the season after going 8-8.
