Ex-Alameda County Supervisor Lockyer Arrested For Drugs, Child Abuse
IRVINE (KCBS / CBS 5) -- Former Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer is facing drug and child endangerment charges following an arrest in Orange County last week.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office confirmed Wednesday that police responding to a tip went to a home where Lockyer and her 9-year-old son Diego were visiting a relative.
Authorities said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and as a result, arrested Lockyer last Tuesday on charges of drug possession, being under the influence, child abuse and endangerment.

Lockyer entered not guilty pleas last Thursday and was released on her own recognizance. She has since checked herself into a drug rehab center in Orange County. She is due back in court next Monday for a pre-trial hearing.
Lockyer resigned from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in April following a sex and drugs scandal. Her husband, state Treasurer Bill Lockyer, filed for divorce in July.
A spokesman for Bill Lockyer said he wanted to make it clear that Diego lives in the Bay Area with him and is safe. He added that he wished his wife success in rehab.
