Elderly Pedestrian Killed In Morgan Hill Crash
MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) -- A vehicle fatally struck an elderly pedestrian on Friday evening in Morgan Hill, according to police.
At about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to investigate a collision involving a female pedestrian and a vehicle on Monterey Road, just south of John Wilson Way, police said.
Officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian. She was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel, police said.
According to officers, the pedestrian was a 78-year-old Morgan Hill woman. Her name is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
Police said that the driver of the vehicle, a 65-year-old Morgan Hill woman, is not suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
