Elderly Oakland Man Fatally Struck By 3 Cars, 2 Leave Scene
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- An elderly man crossing an onramp to Interstate 980 in Oakland was killed Wednesday night when he was hit by three different cars, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported shortly before 9 p.m. on the 17th Street onramp to westbound 980, according to the CHP.
Two of the cars left the scene while one stopped and cooperated with investigators. CHP officers are hoping that the drivers of the other two cars will come forward.
The possibly homeless man was pronounced dead at the scene.
