East Bay Man Allegedly Stabbed Mom And Wheelchair-Bound Father
SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- Detectives arrested a man suspected of stabbing his parents in San Leandro Tuesday night, police said.
Officers responded to a home on Bradrick Drive Tuesday at around 11 p.m. on reports of a stabbing.
An investigation revealed that the mother, 53, was involved in an argument with her son, 27-year-old Daniel Vahey.
Vahey allegedly stabbed his mother in the face, punched his wheelchair-bound father, 58, and then stabbed him in the abdomen, according to police.
The victims were hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Vahey was located at another residence Wednesday morning and he was taken into custody, police said.
