East Bay High School Students To Be Tested For Tuberculosis
UNION CITY (AP) - Hundreds of Union City high school students will be screened for tuberculosis after a person at the school tested positive for the bacterial disease.
The Oakland Tribune reported the person with active TB, who hasn't been identified, is being treated and is no longer on the James Logan High School campus.
New Haven Unified School District spokesman Rick La Plante on Wednesday stressed the disease is not easily spread.
A notice was sent out Wednesday to 500 people who will be tested some time next week.
