Earthquakes Win Rights To Cal Goalkeeper David Bingham
SAN JOSE (AP) ― The San Jose Earthquakes have won a lottery for rights in Major League Soccer to goalkeeper David Bingham.
Thirteen teams participated in Wednesday's weighted lottery, and the Earthquakes (8.8 percent) had the fifth-best chance behind New England (23.6), Toronto (17.9), Chicago (15.3) and Seattle (10.8). The lottery is used for players who sign with MLS after the draft.
Bingham, of Pleasanton, was a junior last season at Cal.
