Driver Sought In Hit-And-Run That Injured Antioch Cyclist
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) - A bicyclist who was injured in a hit-and-run collision in Antioch last Tuesday remains in the hospital, and police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver involved.
The collision was reported on West Ninth Street and I Street at 2:47 p.m.
The bicyclist, a 30-year-old Antioch man, was struck by a car and suffered serious injuries. Police said this week that the cyclist remains in the hospital but is recovering from his wounds.
The driver fled the scene after the collision. The victim and witnesses told police that the car was a gold four-door Acura with tinted windows and stock rims.
The vehicle sustained front-end damage and a broken windshield in the collision. Anyone who has information about the suspect vehicle has been asked to call Officer B.J. Hewitt at (925) 779-6900.
