Driver Killed After Vehicle Plunges Down Hill In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A driver was killed in a horrific crash near Almaden Park in San Jose Friday morning.
An SUV plunged several hundred feet down a steep hillside on Guadalupe Mines Road around 9:30 a.m., according to a fire dispatcher.
Crews arrived to find the driver dead at the scene. Earlier reports of passengers being ejected turned out to be incorrect..
San Jose Police said the deceased was an older driver, and his next of kin had not yet been notified.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility the driver may have experienced a medical issue.
